Austin Champions - Running Conditioning Program

  • What is this about?  This is a program to help condition those who have already been running or would like to learn to run in proper form in a non-competitive manner.  Your coach will help you set goals to increase your ability to run and overall strengthen your ability to run.  This running program will not compete in Track & Field or Cross Country meets.

  • Who is this for?  Homeschool students from grades 5th-12th, that also may be off-season athletes that wish to maintain current cardio and strength levels, new runners, those who may wish to run on a team at a later date, those recovering from injuries, and just about anyone who would like to run but cannot compete for whatever reason.

  • When is it?  We are starting the 2022 Fall Semester, Running Conditioning Program on June 13th and it will end on October 14th. The spring season begins on January 11, 2023 and will end the weekend before the homeschool state meet in early May. You have a choice of coming to practice on a Tues/Thurs or Tues/Fri schedule for track or any/all days for cross country. Your coach will provide you with an at-home conditioning schedule for the remainder of the week.

  • Where is it? Practices will be located at the track @ Wilco Regional Park, 3005 CR 175, Leander, TX, in the mornings starting at 7:30 and ending at 9 am promptly (track) or Champions Park off of Brushy Creek Rd. for Cross Country.  Cross Country does meet occasionally at other locations, so please contact the coach before coming out!

  • How much is it and what does it include? Registration includes a 3 1/2 month program with practices twice a week with a home training schedule, supplemental insurance, and a Austin Champions shirt.  $125 Registration for first child (5th-12th), Family max is $375

We have worked hard to keep our program affordable and accessible to as many families as possible.  As we grow, we have to continually assess needs and volunteers for our organization.  Having EVERY Champion family pitch in and do their part will help this program continue, as well as help keep costs down.  There are multiple ways to volunteer throughout the year. We currently do not have a minimum amount of volunteer hours as required by other local organizations, but can not rule this out as our program grows. Also, our volunteers allow us to grant a limited number of scholarships per year.

Scholarships are currently available for our Running Conditioning Program for returning Champion families. Please contact us about more information on learning more about volunteering or scholarship availability.
